Story
What are mornings like in your home? The bathroom can easily become a bottleneck when everyone is in a hurry to brush their teeth and get ready for work or school. Not least if the bathroom has an unpractical layout and isn’t easy to adapt to your needs. With the ENHET bathroom series, we want to enable a more flexible and personalised bathroom. Making those early morning routines run smoother.
Small space living is a reality for most people around the world – even for Ina Klepper, who was part of the team which developed ENHET. Her own bathroom provided good inspiration.
"I have a small bathroom and I think it feels less cramped and more spacious if some storage is open and gives me a good overview of my things."
Optimise the space to fit your needs
Ina and her colleagues wanted to make the assembly really easy and mix closed cabinets with open shelves in metal frames for more flexibility.
"The idea was to optimise space and make it possible to personalise the bathroom with your changing needs”, explains Ina.
Regardless of bathroom size, there is one thing that always seems to be needed: more hooks for towels, scrubs and other things. But not everyone wants to drill into walls, so the team came up with a solution.
“The frames have a side profile where you can hang as many hooks as you like.”
Show your favourites and hide the clutter
Smart functions and flexibility are essential so that mornings run smoothly in the bathroom. But Ina thinks we should give this space some love and care, and the mix of open and closed storage makes this easier.
“In the closed storage, hide the clutter you don’t want anyone to see – or things you don’t want children to get their hands on – while in the open frames you can display the things you love to reflect your personality.”
