Story
Whether you use the top kitchen cabinet as your secret chocolate supply or as a safe home for grandma’s antique teapot, you'll reach everything easily and safely when you climb up on HADDARP step stool.
”Yes, besides hiding things,” says Oskar Ponnert, one of our product developers, smiling, ”storage cabinets and shelves that make use of the room’s height are efficient ways to free up workspace in the kitchen. But obviously, you need to be able to reach everything, too.”
The idea behind HADDARP was to create the ideal step stool at the lowest possible price. One that's stable and safe to climb, takes up little space, and is easy to move around.
Design with a purpose
We like to let form follow function. When working on HADDARP, function mainly meant meeting all key requirements for safety and stability.
“You could say the requirements set the framework for the design. But together with the designer, we turned those geometrical limitations into possibilities and made them part of the design,” says Oskar.
The angles and dimensions of the legs, the size and anti-slip pattern of the steps – it’s all carefully shaped to make the step stool robust and prevent it from tipping over. At the same time, these features add to a unique and characteristic expression.
Always close at hand
Thanks to its 360-degree design, the step stool can be stepped on from all directions.
“It feels nice and inviting that it never turns its back on you,” says Oskar, who hopes the step stool will be a loyal companion in many people’s everyday lives.
“In a small kitchen, where every inch counts, it can even double as extra seating. While you’re finishing up your dinner preparations, your guest can wind down on HADDARP – always close at hand, always ready when needed.”
