With the VIHALS dining family, we want to make it easier for you to adapt your dining space as new needs come up. Perhaps the family grows, and you need more space around the table. Or the other way around: the children are moving out, and a smaller dining table will do, but you still want it to match your favourite chairs. It’ll work out with VIHALS.

All tables and chairs go together to give you as much flexibility as possible. “You can hang the foldable extra chairs on the wall and take them down when there are many of you around the table,” says Anders Adler who was part of the development work. “And you can easily tuck the stackable chairs away in a corner if there’s a chance for dancing after dinner.”

Less steel thanks to higher quality

Over the years, we’ve had many different dining room pieces in our product range that were functional and affordable, but they didn’t always fit together. So, we took the best products, refined them, and made sure everything matches in style. The result: VIHALS. “This allowed us to make improvements when it comes to both design and quality, as well as dimensions and materials. One goal was to reduce the amount of steel in the chairs. We reached it by choosing high strength steel instead of ordinary carbon steel. This might be more expensive, but thanks to its strength, we could keep down both the amount of steel and the cost.”

Design that follows life

The tables and chairs are made to last with you for a long time. From everyday dinners to life’s best parties. The seat of the upholstered chair is removable, so over time, you can replace it with a new one. As life changes, you can easily update your dining space by adding or removing parts. “The tables share the same underframe. So, if one day a round table suits you better, you can simply change the tabletop, instead of spending money on a completely new table. Pretty great, right?”
