Regional Deliveries

Shipping costs outside the capital area follow the rates listed at (www.samskip.is) For shipments up to 500 kg, costs are capped at ISK 27,900 if they exceed this amount. Beyond this limit, Samskip’s standard rates apply, but IKEA provides its customers with up to a 15% discount on those rates.
Shipments are delivered to the transport provider's warehouse. If you wish to have your order delivered to your doorstep, please contact Samskip directly. An additional fee will apply, as per their price list. At IKEA, we are committed to processing and shipping your orders as quickly as possible.

Capital Area

Deliveries under 900 kg are available at a fixed cost of ISK 9,500. For deliveries of 900 kg or more, the cost will follow IKEA's standard price list.

The home delivery service includes transport from IKEA to the customer’s location, with the driver placing the items at the building’s entrance or near the vehicle. To keep deliveries efficient, the recipient must be present during the scheduled delivery time. If no one is available, the items will be returned to IKEA. Please note, the driver is only responsible for transportation, and any damage or issues that occur after the items are unloaded are the recipient’s responsibility. Delivery is not available for assembled items.

For help carrying items into your home, we recommend hiring local moving services, where charges apply based on their rates.

Delivery time slots are available as follows:
Weekdays: 9:00-12:00, 13:00-16:00, or 16:00-20:00
Weekends: 10:00-13:00 or 13:00-17:00
Unfortunately, we cannot provide more precise time estimates.

To ensure a smooth delivery process, the recipient must be available at the delivery time. If no one is present, the items will be returned to IKEA. The customer can retrieve them from IKEA or contact customer service to arrange a new delivery, which will require an additional fee.
